context: the character is clearly used jokingly and not a genuine attempt at rallying hate against indians. It is stereotypical and potentially offensive character. it is meant to make people laugh. Any fans/creators of the show will have bias against the argument.
challenges: the charicter can be seen as an offensive and racist portrayal of an indian american. the charicter is clearly a joke and shouldnt be taken as offensive.
outcomes: 1. they could have made him non sterotypical but it is a joke and it would feel out of place to have a completely normal character. 2. they responded pretty well but thier original response should have been an official statement and not a cartoon. 3. if they label themselves as a comedy they should nat be attacked. 4. intention matters. if you are genuinely trying to raise anti indian sentiment. thats not very neet. if you are trying to make a people laugh, that is neet. 5. no.
